Boulters Lock Driveway Project

Decorative gravel

Creation of new driveway entrance

Elegant red brick finish

Grey sandstone slabs

about this project

We engaged with Justin who wanted a second driveway entrance mirroring the already existing entrance on the other side of the property.

Close to Boulters Lock in the desirable Riverside neighbourhood of Maidenhead, we completed this elegant driveway for Justin who was a fantastic client to work for. The brief was clear, there was a pre-existing entrance on the left hand side of the property, and Justin wanted this mirrored on the other side, to create a second entrance for vehicular access. The new driveway dimensions were approximately 35 square meters.

Before any work could commence, we needed to remove two panels of the existing wooden fencing and a stretch of laurel bush. This was then followed by removing around 7.5m x 4.5m of lawn digging down to a depth of 200mm. This depth is essential to allow for ample sub base of our type 1 mot installation.

A classly red brick was used to border the remaining lawn, with the same brick installed on the pavement threshold with thirteen lines used for first impressions and visual impact.

Once the sub base was finished, we installed a honeycomb driveway tray which locks in and contains the elegant decorative stone gravel. This was then finished off with the grey sandstone slabs along the far end of the driveway leading to the customer's side gate. W e hope you'll agree this is a simple yet beautiful driveway finish.
